Palo Alto Glory covers the background of high school athletes who attended one of Palo Alto’s three high schools, dating from Paly High’s class of 1909 to 2011, concentrating mostly up to the 1970s. The book is a remarkable collection of participants in different spots. To borrow a line from The Chariots of Fire movie: "All these [athletes] were honored in their generation and were a glory in their days.”

Over 40 athletes are included in the profiles with stories of Olympic gold medal winners, world record holders and the first football, basketball, and baseball players from city high schools to make it to the major leagues, plus catching up with those still playing professionally,
